Year 8 leaving assembly prep!
Another Day, Another blog post : )
Today we started to plan our graduation assembly. We have to do a haka and a song. It took us like 40 minutes to choose a song. We finally decided on Bigger because the lyrics relate to us the most. We were going to be Maori, but it was too hard. Then we had to start learning the haka. Kedjron is going to lead it for us. Hopefully, it goes well! My favorite part was Bigger getting voted the highest. My least favorite part was having to do the haka. It is really hard and borning!

SJL Today!
Today we were practicing for the summer learning Journey.
I am not doing it this summer because I am going to Australia and am really busy. I chose to do the coloring competition and to get into the Christmas spirit. I chose to do Roudough the Red Nose Reindeer. I think he turned out pretty well if you ask me. My favorite part was choosing the colors and the different parts to color in. My least favorite part was the really slow site. It took forever to load. I will make sure to keep up reading and writing in our journal. Are you going to do a summer learning journey this year?

Potato Picking!
Hello, It’s been a while : )
Today, Me, Layla, Karli, and Daya went down to the garden for the last time ever. It was a bit sad that that was our last time but I’m sure we will have lots of fun at college. We got a whole bucket full of red and white potatoes. And sometime this week we are going to make some yum chips. We even got to have some rainbow carrots and they were so delicious. My favorite part was finding the potatoes. My least favourite part was when we found a rotten potato and had to through it away. It was very sad.

Tech Weaving!
Another day, another blog post!
Today we were at tech but our reliver got covid the last minute so our teacher Whaea Emma took out class. We just did a bunch of wordfinds and stuff like that. Whaea Emma decided to hold a weaving quiz and the winner got an ice cream. For once in My life Me and My buddie Layla won! We got 18/20 and picked passion fruit ice cream and it was so good. My favorite part was winning and getting and ice cream. My least favorite part was having to do paper work. I only have 1 more lesson in tech in my life, hopefully, It will be a good one!

Swimming!
Today was my 3rd day of swimming this year. The pool was crystal clear and we had free time. Well, we actually had to do 3 laps but then we just got free time. We searched for rings, dolphin dived and the boys popped manus from the inside otherwise we would get told off. My favorite part was diving in. My least favorite part was being cold and having to get out. Other than that it was a really nice swim!

Family is one of life’s most important things, and we must cherish every moment we have with them. I am super grateful I have the love and support of my Family. My family provides me with valuable life lessons, Education, and physical well-being. Now, let’s get into what my family does for me. My Mum and Dad teach me if you put others first, everything else will fall into place. They have always said that kindness is contagious, and it always pays back. The world would be a better place if people sprinkle kindness like confetti. Maths, Reading, and Writing are just the basics in education. What matters even more is the skills we use in our everyday lives like cooking, cleaning, and looking after ourselves. Education is not preparation for life, education is life in its self, and there is always more to learn. Grateful is a happy place to be. My family works hard to provide me with a roof over my head. They always look after me when I am sick. They also make sure I have yummy food to eat and clean water to drink. BE thankful in life, and appreciate the small things. As you can tell, I am very lucky to have such amazing people supporting me in life. And just remember, It’s not where you are in life, It’s about who you have by your side that matters! Human Pyramid!
Wow, it’s been a while!
Today at Lunchtime and refuel we got 8 kids,
Me, Layla, Azanjah, Zara, Maia, Stevie, Jade and Chiko.
I was on the second layer and Jade was on top because she is the lightest. It was so hard to hold it for a while but we got there in the end because we needed to get a photo lol. My favorite part was getting the photo, It turned out so cool. My least favorite part was falling so, many, times! It was so annoying.

Duffy Show!
WOW! It has been ages.
Today we had a Duffy show. it all started out great and it was a really interesting show. It was all about space. The 3 characters were Duffy, stuffy, Dad, and 2 Aliens. Around 30 minutes later we heard a loud bang and this guy came out and asked for water. We all had to leave and they called the ambulance. We later figured out that Duffy had fainted/passed out. We think it was too hot and she hit her head very hard. My favorite part was the Aliens in space. My least favorite part was the girl fainting. Don’t worry, she is all right now.
